Kate Platte brings clutch bat, lineup spark, and SoCon recognition to Wofford’s infield
Kate Platte has been one of Wofford’s most reliable table-setters and run creators, earning preseason First-Team All-SoCon honors for 2025 and the league’s Player of the Week after going 11-for-15 in a hot stretch. In the 2025 season, she hit .328 with 44 hits, 25 runs, 12 RBI, five doubles, three triples, and eight steals, showing a rare mix of contact, speed, and extra-base pop for an infielder. She also delivered a walk-off hit against Samford in 2026, which says plenty about her competitiveness and late-game juice.
