veteran SMU guard with limited proven production
Aitkenhead is a 6'2" SMU guard with very limited documented college production, so the appeal is more about roster flexibility and developmental upside than box-score impact. ESPN lists him at just 2.5 minutes per game in one season and 1.6 in another, with negligible counting stats, while SMU’s roster has him as a junior guard from Guatemala City.[1][2][6] That makes him a deeper-bench fit: a player to monitor for practice value, guard depth, and growth potential rather than immediate, high-usage production.[1][2]
