Power arm, late-inning weapon, and Draft sleeper buzz at Cal Baptist
Alfredo Capacete has been a high-leverage force for California Baptist in 2026, recording wins and saves while flashing swing-and-miss stuff in key spots; CBU’s season notes say he “dominated” on opening day with five strikeouts in two innings, and Baseball America highlighted his fastball at 94-95 mph, touching 97, with a sharp mid-80s slider that misses bats. The big question is health and consistency, but if you want a right-hander who can shorten games and inject real velocity, he looks like a fit with upside.
