Oregon State’s speed-first slot spark
In the most recent Oregon State profile available, Xavier Hawkins is described as a speedy, elusive receiver and a candidate to grow his role, with added value as a punt/kickoff return option. In his Oregon State career, he has been a steady depth piece rather than a volume producer, so the appeal is more fit and versatility than box-score fireworks. If a team wants quickness, spacing, and special-teams juice from a low-maintenance role player, Hawkins is the kind of sneaky-useful add that can quietly make life easier for an offense.
