Norell Pollard brings veteran disruptive power to Virginia Tech’s front
Pollard is a sturdy, high-motor interior defender who made real damage plays for Virginia Tech in the 2023 season, finishing with 24 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks in 13 games[1][8]. He also earned captain status for the 2023 season, which says a lot about his steadiness and locker-room credibility[14]. The appeal is clear: he’s not just a body on the line, he’s a tone-setter with experience, leverage and production against the run and pass—exactly the kind of DL who helps a defense feel a little less fun to play against[1][13].
