Karen Spadafora is Seattle U’s two-way difference-maker behind the plate
Spadafora enters 2026 as a preseason WCC honoree and one of Seattle U’s most important returners after a 2025 season in which she hit .340 with 11 home runs, 52 hits, and 267 putouts as a catcher. She brings real middle-of-the-order pop, run production, and steady defense, with the added value of handling a heavy catching workload. Her 2025 résumé also included All-WAC Second Team and All-WAC Defensive Team recognition, plus two WAC Player of the Week awards, which tells you coaches saw a player who can swing games, not just fill a box score.
