Elite Right-Handed Pitcher for Western Carolina with 1.27 ERA and 93°F Fastball
Caleb Williams, a 6'2", 210lb right-handed pitcher for Western Carolina Catamounts, delivered a standout 2025 season at Rice with a 1.27 ERA, 5-3 record, and 84 strikeouts in 49.2 innings, showcasing elite velocity (fastball 89–92 mph, topping 93°F) and a sharp 80–83 mph slider. His differentiators include relentless intensity, a competitive fire that elevates teammates, and a clean injury history with no reported setbacks. While he made just seven appearances in 2026 (six in relief), his transfer from Rice signals ambition and readiness for SoCon competition. He’s a high-fit prospect for teams seeking a data-driven, intensity-led pitcher with proven command and a 162-inning college track record. Why care? He’s not just a stat leader—he’s a personality who turns pressure into performance.
