Northeastern’s bruising, efficient frontcourt force
In the 2000–01 season, Lani Lawrence was a true inside presence for Northeastern, averaging 10.3 points and 10.4 rebounds per game while shooting 48.3% from the field, with 39 blocks and 17 steals in a high-usage role. She was also named to the Roger L. White All-Tournament Team, and later reporting on her Northeastern career describes her as second all-time in rebounding and blocked shots, plus fourth in field-goal percentage. If you want a center who brings toughness, rim protection, and board-cleaning grit, she’s the kind of fit that makes coaches grin.
