veteran Norfolk State DB with a two-way background and toughness edge
Vince Hicks is a seasoned Norfolk State defensive back with a versatile football background, having played both running back and DB in the 2007-08 seasons, which suggests solid instincts, physicality, and an understanding of the game from both sides of the ball. In the 2007 season, he battled nagging injuries while still logging meaningful offensive production before moving back to defensive back in spring practice, a useful clue that durability and role flexibility are part of his story. He looks like a value fit for a team that wants experience, adaptability, and a player who’s willing to grind for snaps rather than chase headlines.
