Vernon Eason brings veteran guard grit to JMU
Vernon Eason is a veteran James Madison offensive guard whose value comes from reliability, toughness, and good football instincts rather than flash; JMU’s bio describes him as a returning starter who is hard-working, dependable, and determined, with a 6-1, 315-pound frame built for interior trench work. In the 2006 season, he started all but one game as a redshirt freshman and earned second-team Virginia Division I all-state honors, which makes him a strong fit for a team that wants a steady, physical interior blocker.
