Sam Hogan brings reliable leg strength and academic grit to UAlbany's kicking game
Sam Hogan is a senior-level place kicker/punter for Albany whose value goes beyond the box score: in the 2023 season he appeared in 12 games, handled kickoffs with 3,206 kickoff yards, and added four tackles, while also earning Fall 2023 CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll recognition. He’s the kind of steady specialist coaches like for field-position control, with enough versatility to contribute as both kicker and punter, plus the added bonus of strong off-field drive—he has also pursued an MBA and entrepreneurship work while playing.
