Makayla Adams brings veteran rebounding grit to Maryland Eastern Shore
Makayla Adams has been a familiar front-court presence for Maryland Eastern Shore, valued more for her physicality, rebounding edge, and toughness than flashy box-score noise. In the 2022-23 season, she appeared in 24 games and averaged 11.6 minutes, with her earlier UMES seasons showing her as a steady, low-usage forward who can battle inside and do the dirty work. She was described by the program as a four-year starter and team captain in high school, which tracks with the kind of disciplined, glue-player profile coaches love.
