Memphis DB DJ Bell: Ball-hawking upside with real playmaking juice
In the 2024 season, Memphis defensive back DJ Bell showed a knack for impact plays, finishing with 16 tackles, 1 interception, 1 interception return touchdown, and 5 pass breakups, a stat line that screams playmaker rather than just a steady tackler. He fits as an aggressive, instinctive DB who can flip momentum with range and ball skills, and Memphis fans should care because those are the traits that travel. For a team, the appeal is clear: if you want a defender who brings energy, juice, and turnover potential, Bell looks like a strong fit.
