Arkansas State’s Defensive Guard with Elite Rim Protection and High-Intensity Play
Canberk Kus, a guard for the Arkansas State Red Wolves, stands out not just for his 7.8 PPG and 4.0 REB in the 2025–26 season, but for his rare ability as a guard to deliver 4 blocks in a single game—like in the 79–67 win over Louisiana-Lafayette. His differentiator is elite rim protection paired with relentless intensity and a defensive mindset that elevates team performance beyond stats. Born in Istanbul, Kus brings international grit, a senior-level maturity (having played all 32 games in 2019–20), and a personality defined by focus and resilience. He’s a high-fit guard for teams needing defensive versatility, intensity, and a player who thrives in high-pressure moments without relying solely on scoring.
