Charlie Bless brings veteran linebacker grit and playmaking flashes to Butler
In the 2023 season, Butler linebacker Charlie Bless played in all 11 games and finished with 33 tackles, including 17 solo stops, while also forcing a fumble; in 2023 and again in a 2023 game recap, Butler highlighted his knack for creating momentum-changing plays. He looks like the kind of tone-setting, assignment-sound defender teams love: experienced, physical, and willing to do the dirty work, with enough ball disruption to matter beyond the box score. Add in academic recognition and a multi-year climb through Butler’s defense, and he reads as a dependable fit for a disciplined, hard-nosed unit.
