Shawn McColley brings proven burst and veteran value to Tennessee State’s backfield
McColley has shown real college-game juice before, including a 2018 breakout with 93 rushing yards and a 70-yard touchdown, and in 2019 he was Tennessee State’s top returning rusher with 214 yards on 37 carries at 5.8 yards per carry. His calling card is efficient, downhill running with enough burst to turn a crease into a chunk play, plus the kind of veteran perspective teams like to have in the room. The caveat: the available public stats are older, so his current role and production should be verified before projecting him as a featured workload back.
