Will Weathers is Troy’s floor general, but his best impact is still playmaking
Weathers stands out as a true lead guard whose value comes from setting up teammates, not just scoring; Troy’s roster notes say the sophomore led the Sun Belt and finished sixth nationally with 6.6 assists per game in 2025-26, and his 178 total assists show he can drive an offense at a high level. He’s the kind of guard a team wants if it needs a pass-first organizer who can keep the ball moving and create easy looks, though his fit is strongest in a system that values decision-making and table-setting over heavy isolation scoring.
