De'Monte Buckingham brings veteran two-way production and big-game poise to UNCG
Buckingham is a proven, versatile guard who has already shown he can impact winning as a scorer, rebounder, and connector, including a 2021-22 UNCG season where he led the Spartans in scoring (12.5) and rebounding (6.3) while hitting 42.1% from three. His best trait is his all-around feel: he can stretch the floor, crash the glass, and handle enough playmaking to function as a secondary creator. The differentiator is maturity and toughness—he’s a journeyman who has produced in multiple settings and has a track record of clutch, high-leverage moments.
