Eric Montes brings proven disruption and veteran edge to Delaware State’s front
In the 2024 season, Eric Montes was a productive, high-motor Delaware State defensive lineman who appeared in 12 games and totaled 42 tackles, earning second-team preseason All-MEAC recognition going into the 2024 season[1][9]. What makes him interesting is the “undersized but violent” profile: at 6-foot-1 and around 240-260 pounds, he wins with quickness, leverage, and relentlessness rather than pure length, and local coverage noted his breakout from 14 tackles across his first three seasons to 53 stops, 9 tackles for loss, and 7 sacks in 2023[1][6].
