seasoned Tulsa forward with size, toughness, and bench-value grit
Wheatley is a 6-foot-6 forward who was on Tulsa’s roster as a senior in the 2009-10 season, giving the Golden Hurricane an experienced, physical wing/forward body with veteran know-how.[1][2] His value is less about gaudy scoring and more about doing the dirty work: competing on the glass, defending multiple spots, and bringing a steady, no-drama presence in a rotation that leaned on bigger frontcourt pieces.[4] If you want a rugged, team-first forward who fits a hard-nosed system, he’s a sensible fit; if you need a featured scorer, he’s not that guy.[4][11]
