Michael Hancock brings rare length, veteran versatility, and blue-collar edge off FAU’s edge
In the 2026 season, FAU’s Michael Hancock stands out as a 6-foot-7 redshirt senior DE who has played both tight end and defensive end, giving the Owls a long, flexible, position-savvy piece on the edge[1]. His college résumé points to a grinder’s profile rather than a pure stat monster: he earned playing time the hard way, was a two-time Rudy Award nominee for character and commitment, and previously produced impact moments including 6 sacks, 7.5 tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery in his senior-year run[3][7].
