Cherish Haywood brings elite defense, shot-making, and two-way upside to Radford
In the 2025-26 season, Cherish Haywood entered Radford as a 5-foot-10 guard known for elite on-ball defense, confident three-point shooting, and burst off the dribble; Radford’s staff also highlighted her presence, unselfishness, and “high ceiling” as a wing[8][9]. She was a 2024 COAC Defensive Player of the Year in high school and helped her club team reach the Adidas Girls National Final Four, which matches the profile of a competitor who can raise a team’s intensity and fit a winning locker room[8].
