Colin Maloney is a late-inning righty with strikeout pop for Rhode Island
In the 2026 season, Colin Maloney has been used as a right-handed reliever for Rhode Island, and one snapshot showed him working 2.0 innings with 2 strikeouts in a tough outing against Brown; later, he bounced back by retiring the final three Merrimack hitters and striking out two in the ninth, hinting at some swing-and-miss ability and resilience. His profile suggests a contact-management arm who can get outs in short bursts, but the sample size is small, so the real draw is upside in relief rather than proven volume. If your team wants a bullpen piece with competitive toughness and room to grow, he’s worth a look.
