emerging MVSU linebacker with early-season tackle production and a lot of upside
Davon Jones has opened the 2026 season as an active Mississippi Valley State defender, and in the game information available for September 6, 2026, he recorded 2 tackles in a 52-0 loss at Sacramento State, giving him 4 total tackles on the year so far. He’s the kind of linebacker you care about because he’s already seeing the field and contributing, but the bigger draw is upside: roster listings and stat pages show a player still in evaluation mode, so the real question is whether his size, effort, and consistency keep climbing as conference play ramps up in 2026.
