Josh Maggard is a freshman guard with upside as a developmental backcourt piece at Gardner-Webb
Maggard is a **6-foot, 160-pound freshman guard** from Kokomo, Indiana, which points to a lean, quick, developmental backcourt profile rather than a finished product. His appeal is projection: a young lead guard who can grow into pace, handling, and decision-making in a physical Big South environment, making him more of a long-term fit than an immediate stat-sheet headline. Publicly available team info is limited, so the strongest read is his roster profile and positional value rather than a detailed performance résumé; that makes him intriguing for a program that wants guard depth and upside, but not yet a proven impact producer.[3][4]
