2025 LB Grade 90.1 Star with Elite Rush Defense and Unmatched Intensity for Iowa State
Kyle Smith is a data-driven standout linebacker for the Iowa State Cyclones, earning a 90.1 overall grade from Pro Football Focus in the 2025 season with an 83.8 grade specifically against the rush, proving he shuts down opposing offenses at the line of scrimmage. Beyond stats, Smith’s differentiator is his relentless intensity and football IQ—he’s known for dissecting plays pre-snap and leading the team with a vocal, high-energy presence that elevates locker room chemistry. While no major injury history is recorded, his durability and consistent snap-to-snap focus make him a reliable fit for any team needing a playmaker who brings both physicality and mental sharpness. If you’re building a defense, Smith isn’t just a good fit—he’s a must-have leader who turns stops into momentum.
