C.J. Cotman brings length, upside, and UNC defensive back depth
C.J. Cotman is a North Carolina cornerback whose appeal is more about projection than a deep public stat line right now; the available roster information shows he’s part of UNC’s 2026 defensive back group, but there isn’t a widely surfaced statistical profile to lean on yet. For a team, that usually means a player with developmental upside: someone to watch for coverage instincts, competitive edge, and how quickly he translates athletic tools into consistent snaps. If you want a young CB with room to grow, Cotman is worth a closer look.
