Valparaiso DB Julian Benavides is a name to watch on the back end
Julian Benavides profiles as a defensive back for Valparaiso who brings matchup flexibility and roster value, but publicly available current stat detail is limited, so the clearest takeaway is his role and opportunity rather than a gaudy box score. His best selling points are the usual DB traits teams covet: coverage versatility, reaction speed, and special-teams usefulness, with ESPN and FOX Sports both tracking him as an active Valparaiso defender in 2026. If your team wants a steady, depth-boosting defensive piece rather than a headline grabber, Benavides fits that mold nicely.
