Albany’s Clutch Guard with 25-Point Career High and Rising Double-Figure Consistency
Sarju Patel, the Albany Great Danes guard, is a high-intensity, second-half specialist who set his career high with 25 points in a 2023 NCAA win against NJIT and has scored in double figures 11 times that season. Averaging nearly 8 points and 4 rebounds while starting 26 of 32 games, Patel’s differentiator is his relentless closing ability and steady growth from a reserve role at Virginia Military Institute to a reliable starter. His parents’ early support and his own grit fuel an intense, team-first personality that thrives in fast-paced games. With no reported injury history and a 41.8% field goal average, he’s a clutch-fit guard for teams needing late-game stability and defensive hustle.
