South Alabama guard profile is thin, but the size-and-guard label fits
Derrick Darkis is listed as a South Alabama guard and sports-reference gives him a 6-foot-2, 186-pound frame, which suggests a sturdy backcourt build for a ballhandler or combo guard[1][2]. Publicly available current production, stat leaders, and scouting notes are scarce, so he’s more of a name-to-track than a fully graded prospect right now[1][3]. The key appeal here is simple: if you want a guard-sized player with a physical frame, Darkis has the baseline tools to merit attention, but there isn’t enough verified recent performance data to call him a clear fit or standout yet[1][2][3].
