Frankie Martinez is the gritty, walk-on UTSA road warrior who earned real snaps up front
In the 2022 season, Frankie Martinez appeared in all 14 games and made three starts at right tackle for UTSA, helping an offense that ranked 12th nationally in total offense and allowed just two sacks in his 292 pass-blocking snaps. His calling card is toughness: he walked on, worked multiple jobs, and still climbed into a starting role, which says plenty about his motor and coachability. He’s best viewed as a high-effort, versatile offensive line piece who brings reliability, local-rooted pride, and real underdog energy.
