Dave Nicomini brings rare two-way versatility and proven defensive production for UAlbany
In the 2009 season, Dave Nicomini was an impact linebacker for Albany, already recognized as a Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week and sitting on 198 career tackles, which speaks to his consistency and instincts more than just raw athleticism.[2][4] At 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, he offered a pro-scout-friendly frame, and his unusual background as a former wide receiver gives him a better feel for route concepts and ball skills than most linebackers.[4][7] He looks like a strong fit for a team that values physical, experienced defenders who can diagnose quickly and make plays all over the field.[2][7]
