UNCW arm with real juice: Davis Cabbage brings a live fastball and competitive edge
Davis Cabbage looks like a useful right-handed pitching piece for UNC Wilmington: in the 2024 season, Prep Baseball Report described him as an over-the-top arm whose fastball played up in the zone at 84-88 mph, and Charlotte Observer coverage noted he entered the 2025 high school season with 58 strikeouts and a 2.10 ERA. He stands out for his pitching mentality and fastball/breaking-ball mix, which suggests a starter profile that can miss bats when his command is on. If your team wants a competitor with upside rather than a polished finished product, he’s a very intriguing fit.
