Kendal Yancy brings **leadership, defense, and downhill pressure** to Texas
Yancy profiles as a steady, two-way guard whose calling cards are **defense, handle, penetration, and leadership** rather than eye-popping scoring, with 247Sports grading him especially well in size, defense, and attacking the rim, and ESPN listing him as a rotational guard contributor at Texas. His fit is strongest for a team that values toughness, composure, and reliable guard play over volume shot creation, and his background suggests a high-motor, team-first style that can stabilize a lineup.
