Depth linebacker with a proven blue-collar background
Mike Alves is listed by Georgia Southern as a linebacker, but the public record is thin, so the best read is that he profiles as a development or depth piece rather than a headline stat producer. His differentiators appear to be size, football experience, and a workmanlike path through college football, including prior snaps and injury-rehab context at UCLA, which suggests toughness and persistence. If your team wants an immediately flashy playmaker, the evidence here is limited; if it wants a steady, experienced defender with upside in a role-defined system, Alves is the kind of player worth a closer look.
