Davis Smith brings veteran DB playmaking to Monmouth
Davis Smith is a seasoned Monmouth defensive back whose calling card is production and ball skills: in the 2022 season, he started six games, led the Hawks with three interceptions, added 44 tackles, four pass breakups, and a forced fumble. Monmouth also highlighted him for earning its Academic Resilience Award, which hints at the kind of steady, competitive presence coaches love. He looks like a smart fit for a team that values experience, toughness, and takeaways over flash.
