Big-bodied guard with size, experience, and versatility for Alcorn State
Shaunessy Smith is a 6-foot-6 guard from Macon, Mississippi, who gives Alcorn State a rare blend of backcourt size and physicality; he was listed on the Braves’ 2013-14 roster as a senior, with Alcorn State and RealGM both identifying him as a guard out of Noxubee County High School[1][2][3]. His main differentiator is matchup flexibility: a guard with forward-like size can help on the glass, defend multiple spots, and play through contact, which makes him the kind of sneaky-useful roster piece coaches value even when the box score doesn’t pop. There isn’t enough current public stat detail available here to credibly describe his latest production, but the profile says “tough, big, and versatile,” which is usually coach-speak for “he can survive the chaos.”
