Emerging WR Talent for Winston-Salem State Rams
Cory Shepard, a 6-1, 180-pound wide receiver from the Class of 2006 out of Greensboro, NC's Western Guilford High School (per ESPN recruiting profile), brings raw athleticism and upside to the Winston-Salem State Rams as an undeclared recruit transitioning to college ball. His differentiators include two-sport versatility—highlighted in high school highlights as a dual-threat standout reminiscent of Deion Sanders (YouTube analysis)—with explosive speed and highlight-reel potential that could shine in the CIAA. Lacking college stats yet, he's a high-motor prospect with Soldier-family grit (linked to NFL QB lineage), ideal for teams seeking developmental speedsters who play with intensity; watch for breakout in 2026 if he bulks up and refines routes.
