Loka Kanongataa brings safety toughness and special-teams value to San Diego
Kanongataa profiles as a physical, instinctive defender whose best traits are run support, hard-hitting tackling, and ball skills that can create turnovers; one scouting report also highlights him as a reliable special-teams contributor early in his USD career. The biggest reason to care is fit: he looks like a tone-setting defensive back who can help in multiple phases, even if the public stat sheet is thin and his older roster history shows he previously played linebacker before moving to safety.
