In the 2026 season, UT Arlington freshman RHP Landon Murphy has shown swing-and-miss upside and composure in relief and spot-start duty, including outings with three strikeouts in 2.0 innings and two scoreless innings against Utah Valley. He’s a 6'3" arm who looks like a development play: not fully polished yet, but the stuff and competitiveness are real, and the Mavericks have trusted him in meaningful innings.
