Massive, battle-tested UCLA tackle with pro-level power
Ed Blanton was a high-profile UCLA offensive tackle recruit in the 2001 class, rated among the nation’s better linemen and praised for rare size, heavy hands, and wrestling-built balance; UCLA and historical reports also highlighted his improvement, pad level, and leadership traits. He was a 2005 Pac-10 Honorable Mention lineman and later reached the NFL with the Jets, which underscores his legitimate line-play ceiling. If you want a big-bodied blocker who brings toughness, leverage, and edge, Blanton is the kind of trench presence that makes life easier for everyone around him.
