Matt Polk brings veteran pop, hustle, and immediate impact to Arizona State
In the 2026 season, Polk quickly became a difference-maker for Arizona State after transferring from Vanderbilt, flashing experienced bat-to-ball skill, gap power, and sneaky speed while adding veteran energy to the lineup. He had 14 hits, 2 home runs, and 9 RBIs through 15 games, and his walk-off RBI single against Utah showed he can handle big moments. Coming off a medical redshirt, he looks like a high-floor, all-around fit for a team that wants maturity, contact, and competitive edge in the outfield.
