NFL Backup RB with Elite Explosiveness, Now with Philadelphia Eagles
Tank Bigsby is no longer a college athlete; he is an active NFL running back for the Philadelphia Eagles, traded from the Jaguars in September 2025 [2][6]. While serving as Saquon Barkley's primary backup for the 2026 season, Bigsby's differentiator is his elite explosiveness, evidenced by an astonishing 8.0 yards-per-carry average during his standout 2024 NFL season with the Jaguars [1][3]. His 766 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns in 2024 proved he can dominate in limited snaps, making him a high-upside fit for teams needing a dynamic change-of-pace back or kickoff returner [1][5]. Though not a full-time starter, his 215-lb power combined with 7.7-yard bursts on single plays offers a unique intensity that transcends standard backup stats [3][5].
