former WSU walk-on receiver known more for grit than game reps
Brett McDonald’s Washington State profile is built on perseverance: he earned scout-team honors as a redshirt freshman in 2011 and was a member of the team in 2012, but available team records do not show meaningful game production. His biggest differentiators are toughness, practice value, and a background that includes multi-sport success and a strong academic profile. If you’re looking for a proven on-field stat line, he’s not that; if you value a relentless, team-first developmental piece, that’s the appeal.
