Explosive, instinctive linebacker with NFL-caliber burst
Jay Person brings a high-motor, attack-minded style that shows up in his closing burst, tackling, and ability to work smoothly through traffic as a blitzer or on-ball linebacker. Evaluators have described him as a straightforward but intriguing prospect because his instincts and athletic agility stand out more than box-score production alone, making him a fit for teams that want linebacker versatility and pressure upside. For a team, the appeal is a defender who can chase, finish, and create disruption rather than just absorb blocks.
