Northern Illinois OL Michael Gegner brings academic grit and steady-line reliability
Michael Gegner has been a trusted Northern Illinois offensive line presence, and his profile stands out for durability, discipline, and high-end academic consistency rather than flashy box-score numbers. In 2015, he earned Academic All-MAC honors with a 3.66 GPA in Health & Systems Engineering, which says plenty about his work ethic and detail-driven approach. At his best, he projects as a dependable, smart lineman who fits well in a physical, assignment-sound system—more glue guy than headline grabber, but the kind coaches love to keep in the room.
