Winthrop Forward with International Basketball Pedigree
Decheva is a forward who played for Winthrop Eagles and previously competed at South Carolina, bringing international basketball experience from her Bulgarian heritage. She comes from an elite basketball family—her grandmother, Vanya Voynova, is enshrined in both the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame and FIBA Hall of Fame. While her career statistics show modest production (1.5 PPG, 0.6 RPG on 35.5% FG), she represents a player with deep basketball DNA and international exposure. Best suited for programs valuing basketball IQ, family commitment to the sport, and developmental potential rather than immediate statistical impact.
