Southern DB Jeremy Smith brings size, experience, and back-end reliability
Jeremy Smith gives Southern a useful defensive-back option because his profile points to dependable, assignment-sound play rather than flash: he’s the kind of defender who helps stabilize coverage, supports the run, and can fit into multiple secondary roles if asked. Publicly available recruiting/roster information on him is limited, so the clearest takeaway is that he projects as a depth-and-development piece whose value comes from physicality, effort, and coachability more than headline-grabbing stats. If your team wants a steady DB who can compete for snaps and grow into a larger role, he’s a reasonable fit.
