Grambling State’s Veteran Anchor at Center: Tavarus Cockrell Brings Leadership and All-Conference Pedigree
In the 2007 season, Tavarus Cockrell was Grambling State’s most experienced offensive-line leader at center and earned first-team All-SWAC honors, a strong sign of reliability, technique, and command up front[5][6][7]. He profiles as the kind of lineman coaches trust: physical, steady, and vocal, with enough versatility to handle pressure and help stabilize an offense. If your team needs a gritty interior anchor with proven conference-level respect and a blue-collar edge, Cockrell fits the bill.
