Tom Wilson brings elite passing and all-around impact to SMU
Tom Wilson is a high-level connector who stood out in 2026 FIBA Asian Qualifiers with **7.0 assists**, **7.5 rebounds**, and **11.5 points per game**, showing true point-forward value rather than just scoring[2]. He also posted a 2025 NBL MVP season with Melbourne United, averaging **24.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.5 assists**, which suggests he can carry more creation load when needed[4]. The differentiator is his versatility and feel: he affects the game as a passer, rebounder, and secondary scorer, making him a strong fit for teams that want a smart, multi-role guard who raises the floor of the offense[2][4].
